Dealing with Anxiety in an Uncertain Environment

Our reality, the world we are so used to is currently in limbo.  We don’t know what is going to happen from one day to the next. Our lives have been turned upside down and we are being asked to isolate from family, friends, co-workers, and for a lot of us, our coping mechanisms have also been taken away, i.e., the gym, swimming, hiking, etc.  Daily we are faced with questions such as, do I need to go get food, or can I make do for another day with what is in the house? How are my friends and family faring? Are any of them at higher risk? We’ve all been experiencing varying levels of anxiety, which can show up as worry, nervousness, or unease.  It can affect our physical bodies as well, with headaches, upset stomach irritability, and fatigue. This is why it’s important that we take as little as 5 minutes every day to balance ourselves and release this anxiety. Five minutes where we stop and breathe, acknowledge our feelings and release it. One way to do this is through tapping. No, 5 minutes doesn’t fix everything, but it can go a long way if you are consistent and do it often, as that is when deep transformation can happen.
